Deep Throat, the mysterious Watergate expert who met Woodward, is Mark Felt, ex No.2 in the FBI. He told that in a Vanity Fair interview. He´s 91 years old.

Probably Deep Throat, Woodward and Bernstein wouldn´t agree with you there - even if they did not openly discredit the President, but rather concentrated on the rest of the administration like Haldeman, Ehrlichman etc.

Now that´s an interesting detail, shedding light on the recent espionage scandal on Kofi Annan, that Bush Junior apparently initiated. You know where he got the idea....

I think as time is passing, preseidential historians are beginning to look on Nixon with a more favorable eye (with the exception of Watergate of course ). It will be interesting to hear what is being written about him 25 years from now.

Also, condescending members of this board because they are here for 6 months instead of years is not noble at all.
