I see them in England. People seem to associate the Confederate flag with the Wild West and cowboys. Tacky "American West" themed shops usually sell things with the flag on them and have one hanging outside (I was tempted to walk into one I saw at the seaside to ask if they realised how offensive it was). Someone on an expat board I read said that her workplace had a western-themed party, and when she walked in, she was shocked to see the tables draped in Confederate flags.

I didn't know it had that association over in Europe!
Tho it makes sense IF you consider Texas. Texas IS a Westerrn State, but it's ALSO a Southern State.
