I?m not convinced of Fischer. I think he compromises too often. Plus, in my opinion a SecGen UN has to know the organization very well. Annan has been working for the UN for 30 years. Someone like Fischer or Clinton would just mess it up.

Well i guess it's important for democratic institutions to find compromises. Only dictators do what they think has to be done without listening to others.

But youre defenetly right on the 2nd part. It's a big advantage to know the UN organization verry well.

Clinton bombed Iraq, Sudan and Afghanistan.

So what's your point do you think this qualifies him for the UN job or do you think this disqualifies him? :)

Headache in a Suitcase:
you forgot 2001: destruction of the Twin towers - after G.W.Bush couldnt find and judge the resposible persons in court - he had the idea of bombing Iraq instead. Wow - i guess that really reduces chances of future terrorist attacks.

rest:  not really worth a coment..

well there's no conspiracy there... vince foster did have two entry wounds when he was found, yet it was named a suicide... a conspiracy would be if i said the clintons had anything to do with it, and why would i say that, it's obviously he shot himself in the head twice.

And you'd think that investigators would have caught onto this. Your point?

no... i didn't forget that... i can never forget that... everytime i look across the street at my neighbor's house, i remember that i'll never see marty there on the front lawn ever again... everytime i see my friend noel's son, born in october of 2001, i remember that he will never know his father... everytime i walk down the streets of manhattan, when i see national guardsmen with m-16s, i remember... everytime a plane flies by a little lower than normaly, when every single person around looks nervously to the sky at something they used to not even notice, i remember... everytime i look at pictures from the freshman year of my college basketball career, and i see a former teammate who is in afghanistan right now, risking his life to try to find those fuckers, then i remember that all those people who say that america and bush aren't doing anything to try and find ubl and al qaeda are a bunch of naive fucks... and everytime i wake up in the morning, i remember that if nothing is done about the people who are willing to deal, able to deal, and have dealt with these people in their jihad against the great satan, that living so close to the city that is their #1 target, i could be one of the next to die... so yeah, i fucking remember...

Headache: I'm sorry for you that you lost friend, i'm sorry that little noel lost his father.
I was just curious if you think that G.W.Bush does the right thing when he removes troops and anti terror specialists from afghanistan and starts a war in Iraq.

Klaus

p.s. did you know that the western countries were the first who had the idea of jihad (not talking about the crusades) and they convinced (and thereby radicalized) the religious leaders there?

Just remember the lyrics of Bullet the Blue sky: "You plant a demon seed - you raise a flower of fire.."
