The Gaza Disengagement discussion is happening right now in the Knesset (live at CNN if anyone wants to watch…is it's still on). It’s turning into a ridiculous shared-every parliament member is disrupting the PM speech, it's turning into a competition-who's heard more. Maybe they are trying to get high scores among their voters because the TV is on. Little little people, I don't like most of them. Some were already expelled outside (yes, just like in high school). Sometimes I can't believe that these people are running this place (or not-once you think of how it’s being run).
The actual voting in favor or against the disengagement is tomorrow. With demonstrations both from right and the left outside the parliament, it's considered as an option to escort the parliaments members (120 in number) to the parliament in armored vehicles in fear of assassination attempts. The evacuation of the settlers itself is going to messy-a huge potential to blood shed between them and the army/police who'll evacuate them.
Crazy crazy place. I'm going away to do some backpacking in New Zealand for a few months in December, I wonder what kind of a reality I'll be coming back to.
