I am also getting really, really nervous. I think Obama will win, but there's this big part of me that is super paranoid about the dirty tricks that could go down, or that the Bradley effect will be real and huge, or some combination of things, plus, it's just been such a long long time of worrying about this and now we are there.

Yeah right. If there's one thing that this spineless Senate has told us, it's that they don't care to stand up to Bush much at all. They're practically a rubber stamp for him. Why should they be any more effective against McCain?

I had to submit my official prediction for the electoral college to my Government teacher today (he figured out that we would just stay up to hear the results tomorrow night).
I think my prediction was Obama 353, McCain 185. |

according to all the information we have available, Obama should win big.
there's no getting around that. yes, the information could be egregiously wrong. it is possible. but it's not like there's movement towards McCain, it's not like Obama's made a gaffe, it's not like there hasn't been poll after poll after poll that has Obama winning. name me the last time Obama trailed in a national poll. show me a poll from OH, VA, IA, NM, NV, and CO that puts Obama behind. lots of people make their living doing this. they've been generally pretty accurate in the past. this isn't as volatile situation as the NH primary. the evidence clearly shows that Obama should win big. yes, he could lose. but if he did, there would be a serious, massive reevaluation of ... well, just about everything in regards to the political process. now, get out there and do what everyone things you're going to do: VOTE. |

perhaps we should take over and under bets, like with football scores. I would put the line at 344.5 www.538.com puts it at 340.5 under bet is at 340 and less over bet is at 341 and more. So make your predictions under or over 340.5 ? I will go with over |

I do think most Obama fans will take the under bet
they do not want to be greedy and will be happy with a win even if it is only 272 but for months now I have been expecting at least 330 and in the last few weeks Obama's numbers have been improving. I will stay with my over 340.5 |

John McCain's appearance on Saturday Night Live helped the show average a 9.0 household rating/ 20 share in metered markets. Saturday's SNL was only beat out by Sarah Palin's appearance a few weeks ago, which averaged 10.7 rating/ 24 share. McCain's appearance helped SNL garner their second-highest rated program in more than a decade.
