Ah, you see, I was originally replying to the electoral map featuring Washington State joining Canada.

I love when he says "I don't know who is writing your questions". That has to be a Fox affiliate.

Honestly, I think that interview just shows what a mouthpiece that woman is. She doesn't even engage Biden--she doesn't respond to anything at all. All she does is read questions. What a tool. Biden, IMO, handles himself very well. Hell, even if I disagreed with what he says, I'd still think that woman was nothing but a mouthpiece. What terrible interviewing skills!

Yes, I thought that was pretty funny too. To be fair, these regionals would only have one shot with the candidates and it only lasts a couple of minutes, so they would feel like they have to get as many Q’s in during that time as possible, but her style regardless is terrible, it’s like she won a competition to ask the questions and she’s got her 5 written down on a card and no matter what Biden says, she has no response, no understanding, just “Right, next question!” Especially noticeable when she (or whoever wrote the questions) is trying to be controversial. It’s not like they’re “Boxers or briefs? Coke or Pepsi?” questions.

Speaking of the media, I think Fox News are in the process of having a fairly serious collective mental breakdown.

I still love how they complain about the evil liberal mainstream media outlets being in the tank for Obama and how terrible this is for America, while presenting a Top 10 Reasons Why You Should Not Vote for Obama, all with a straight face.

Yet to see a Top 10 Reasons Why You Should Not Vote for McCain on CNN. Did I miss it?

WFTV's Barbara West on her interview with Joe Biden: "I don't think I was rude or inconsiderate to him"

The Barack Obama campaign called Barbara West's interview with Sen. Joe Biden unprofessional and combative.

The veteran WFTV-Channel 9 anchor-reporter says she asked pointed questions and respects Sen. Biden, who is Sen. Obama's running mate.

In a call to me Friday evening, West (pictured) said of Biden: "I have a great deal of respect for him. I have a great deal of respect for Sen. Obama. We are given four minutes of a satellite window for these interviews. Four precious minutes. I got right down to it and, yes, I think I asked him some pointed questions. These are questions that are rolling about right now and questions that need to be asked. I don't think I was rude or inconsiderate to him. I think I was probing and maybe tough. I can't believe that in all of his years in politics, and all of his campaigning and such, that he hasn't run into some tough questions before. He's certainly up to it in giving good answers."

The problem isn't that she was "tough." I don't think she really was. The problem is that she had such an obvious angle. What kind of question is "Are you embarrassed about ACORN...?" Seriously? Would any serious journalist ask about being embarrassed about ACORN, especially knowing the interviewee's stance on the subject?

I wonder if she had any clue of McCain's connections to ACORN in the past

So we have busloads of people from out of state coming to volunteer at our campaign office over the next 7 days. Things are getting crazy. Virginia hinges on this region.....no pressure.....

Lettuce analyze just one question, because I'm a former Journalism student and a current English student I can see something really really fucking weird about this question.

Quote:
Now, you recently said, "Mark my words, it will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama." But what worries many people is your caveat asking them to stand with him because it's not going to be apparent initially that he's right. NON SEQUITUR WARNING Are you forewarning Americans that nothing will be done and that America's days as the world-leading power are over?
..."nothing will be done": Who the hell thinks that Obama will crap his pants should a second 9/11 will occur? Does George W. Bush hold some sort of mystifying trump card on all national tragedies? Wouldn't every President do what he did following the initial days of the attack? Throw an opening pitch at a baseball game? Denounce terrorists? What exactly is this question getting at?? Why is it that Bush considered to be heaven-sent on his 9/11 reaction?
IF that is the case, then what does it say about that as he now has an extremely low approval rating, due in part to his failure to capture Osama Bin Laden like he promised to seven years ago? Isn't that a more relevant part of the issue at hand?

Hot diggity dog, even the non sequitur has a non sequitur. Quite a feat.

I've got a question for Mr. Biden now: Is it true, Senator Biden, that Barack Obama was simply cloned from a proven sample of Karl Marx hair mixed with the blood of a Kenyan shaman with a thirst for Christian blood?

The liberals have radio talkshows, and they don't do so well because it's not really hard to know what the liberal point of view is. It's saturated out there. If there is a demand for ideas you have to compete. It's weak to have government force them off the air.

Anyways, this kind of martyrdom will just create more sympathy.

The reason they don't work is that most left leaning folks don't need a preaching to the choir environment, in fact we fear it...

Who said anything about forcing them off the air?

I'm not sure who you think is being a martyr...
