I remember seeing one where he was trying to sell Christmas gifts a la an infomercial from the Oval Office in order to help bring the country out of recession. The Bush family sure knows how to fuck up an economy! 2 for 2!

It is when people see someone abusing power to further their cause that concerns most. Diemen has done nothing to show otherwise that he cannot be a stand up mod.

Boy, you're gonna think I'm really rude now if I call out your obvious mistake.

I wasn't trying to be rude, and you know that if you and I were face to face in a bar, you sipping your scotch and me my beer, and I said the same thing to you, you would not call me rude, you would just counter my point and all would be fine.

What's in the air today? Whatever it is, I guess we're all breathing it in pretty heavily.......

This has been going on for twenty years, and is born out from intercepted communications and public statements by various thugs. God gave the true Muslims a victory over the atheists in Afghanistan, and so he will in a fight against America. If Bush had his finger on the electoral pulse and pushed for a "strategic redeployment" right when Zarqawis mob were running torture dungeons out of Fallujah they could quite rightly claim victory for those stated reasons. It seems that purpleoscar has put out what is on the record from various Islamists and your saying that all of that doesn't matter because it doesn't say what's in their heart of hearts, you're in the weaker position, just because he is dead wrong on gay marriage doesn't make him wrong on the stated goals of groups like Al Qaeda.

Well, to be honest, I have been asked to cut $25,000 out of my budget tomorrow and $255,000 for next year. So I am cranky.

forty is getting rough with me.

The sitting vp - I got it.

Al Gore was not the sitting president prior to 2001.

That's marvellous. The author couldn't come up with anything to refute Biden's argument, so he went for the ludicrous.

And once again, Germany is clearly Marxist, too. Who wonders, after all he was German.
From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs. That's pretty much the philosophy behind our entire tax system. And we are not ashamed about it.

And people think Sweden is socialist? Get some education and then try again opening your mouth. Learn the difference between socialism and social democratism, already!

My response to this would be that yes, I obviously have biases as does everyone else. And I will continue taking part in discussions, and am allowed to disagree with other posters still. However, and I think my history here bears this out - I do not engage in personal attacks but instead argue the content of the posts. If people do the same in return, then it makes absolutely no difference who is carrying the big stick.

However, when it comes to duties that would fall to a moderator, and again I believe my brief history as a mod bears this out, it does not matter whether someone is on the same side of the fence as I am or the opposite side - inappropriate posts will be addressed. And just so you guys know, mods do not address most matters as rogue agents acting alone (with exceptions for minor issues such as clear violations of forum rules, thread closings due to size, merging threads, moving threads to appropriate forums, etc). Many of the decisions are discussed as a team.

In order to keep this thread on topic, I will ask that anyone who has further questions or concerns PM me and keep it out of the thread.

Socialism is not communism. Most Political scientists look at socialism as democratic and communism as dictatorial. When someone says I want to spread the wealth around it's a legitimate question.

I also enjoyed it because I like people to taste their own medicine. Palin went through so much worse.

Also the Obama/Biden camp announced they won't be doing interviews with that station.

Fairness Doctrine anyone?

Here's another guy who gets angry at tough questions.

A taste of their own medicine? Did Biden personally interview Palin? Besides, if getting asked tough questions is the medicine in question here, then I think someone gave Palin a placebo.
