so, what time do you expect to know Obama has won? I've got to go out to the shops for a few hours, but I don't want to miss anything

I have no idea. Alaska's polls close at 1 AM EST (5 hours from now), with most others closing at or before midnight. So yes, by midnight (barring a deadlock in PA, OH, or some other key state), we should have an idea of where things are going. But I am personally not expecting a conclusive answer until the morning.
 
Obama is leading in both NC and SC! Please let this continue! :pray:

SC is going with McCain. I predict NC will lean towards Obama and remain there. He performed impressively in NC during the primaries, which certainly is a good sign, if nothing else.

Ohio won't be decided until MUCH later.
 
I'm Canadian. Yet this is probably the most excited and nervous I've been for an election in a long time (probably since the Québec referendum in 95).

The whole world will be affected by this choice, to some extent. Can't wait to see how it unfolds!
