OK I think that thing is sponsored by Obama or something, everybody was a close match for him, even the guys who had mostly Republicans as their top matches.

Haha only 43% for Mitt :)

I like these things though, has anybody got the one that plots your political views on a set of x/y axes? It asked a lot more questions and gave you more of a "political philosophy" rather than an ideal candidate.

It's inaccurate insofar there is a 0% chance I would vote for a Republican.

Ditto.

If Interference were to vote alone Obama would have an easy campaign before him ;)

It's interesting to me how the dems are consistently "100% Obama". I wonder how the measured this.

yeah,

who is

Curt Anderson

this test seems to have a slant for obama

This is the same guy who created that 'which religion is for you' test that someone posted in here once--the one where virtually everyone came out 'Unitarian Universalist' or close to it. He also has 'find the right dog breed for you' programs and so on--basically he has a business established on designing programs of this type.

Most likely the fact that so many people are getting 'Obama 100%' has more to do with Obama having a more diversified voting record on several of these issues than others. As a generalization, one problem I had with the questions is that, though they purport to be about your 'ideal' candidate, in practice several of them only allow you a choice between two decidedly non-centrist/moderate/'nuanced' alternatives. However, in Mr. Anderson's defense, I suppose part of the point is to make the test quick and easy, and as far as the percentages, those refer only to the likelihood of a candidate being closest to your array of stances *relative to other candidates*. It's not saying you agree with Obama on everything if you got Obama 100%.

This is the same guy who created that 'which religion is for you' test that someone posted in here once--the one where virtually everyone came out 'Unitarian Universalist' or close to it.

Really? I remember those threads several times and I didn't have that impression. But perhaps I didn't pay enough attention.

I just went to selectsmart.com and there are over 20,000 selectors there

Apparently he just compiles them-either that or he lives in a windowless basement with internet access which he never leaves

Whatever-it's fun

It's a site that hosts user-created quizzes. jkayet and I made a U2 quiz there about five and a half years ago (I think someone referencing it in a thread was what prompted me to start posting here).

Curt Anderson has created a lot of the "selectors" there, but I think the religion test on Beliefnet was created by his wife.

This will be the 2008 race once the primary's are done.

You're surprised? I'm not at all.

She's a big government, Military Industrial Complex fan, a war monger.
