It's officially my first opossum?

I dont think i've ever seen one before tonight.
I think it was an opossum, either that or a really big grey rat.

I totally dislike opossums. They really are just giant, groady, ratty-lookin' critters. Mean as hell as well. If you disturb them while they're eatting they make this freaky snarl-ie growling noise. In conclusion, I hate opossums.

i grew up on a farm and we'd see them from time to time. once in a while they'd scurry across the back porch.

I had one hanging out in my barn for a few weeks early this spring. We got used to each other...even the dog just ignored him after a while. I called him Ernie, it seemed like a good name for him.

I once had a cat that learned that lesson. Several hundred dollars in vet bills later, I learned the lesson not to put the cat food outside.

I have never seen an opossum live in person. I have, on the other hand, met up with several raccoons, squirrels and skunks that live in my neighbourhood
