now that i have taken my midol. i feel like posting a happy Coldplay song.

*i dedicate this song to my thorn in my side who drives me insane on a weekly basis. ;)

Green Eyes

Honey you are a rock
Upon which I stand
And I come here to talk
I hope you understand

The green eyes
Yeah the spotlight
Shines upon you

And how could
Anybody
Deny you

I came here with a load
And it feels so much lighter
Now I met you

Honey you should know
That I could never go on
Without you

Green eyes

Honey you are the sea
Upon which I float
And I came here to talk
I think you should know

That green eyes
You're the one that I wanted to find
And anyone who tried to deny you,
Must be out of their mind

Because I came here with a load
And it feels so much lighter since I met you

And honey you should know,
That I could never go on
Without you

Green eyes, green eyes, ohohoh...

Honey you are a rock
Upon which I stand.

Warning Sign grabbed me from the first time I heard it. The chorus just aches and I can definitely relate to the whole song. The one thing that bugs me is the ending. It's too easy and too naive. It's not that damn easy in real life to just crawl back, and open arms/second chances are hard to find.

Scientist is another one I can definitely relate to. Damn Coldplay and their melancholic genious!

Here's another one

Walls - Tom Petty

Some days are diamonds,
Some days are rocks.
Some doors are open,
Some roads are blocked.

And sundowns are golden,
Then they fade away.
And if I never do nothin',
I'm comin' back some day.

'Cause you got a heart so big it could crush this town.
And I can't hold out forever; even walls fall down.

All around your island
There's a barricade.
It keeps out the danger,
Holds in the pain.

Sometimes you're happy,
And sometimes you cry.
Half of me is ocean,
Half of me is sky.

But you got a heart so big it could crush this town.
And I can't hold out forever; even walls fall down.

And some things are over,
Some things go on.
Part of me you carry,
And part of me is gone.

But you got a heart so big it could crush this town.
And I can't hold out forever; even walls fall down.
You got a heart so big it could crush this town.
And I can't hold out forever; even walls fall down.

I've been playing Coldplay songs a lot lately. :( Was just listening to Warning Sign, The Scientist and In My Place last night.

And daisybean, Tori's "Silent All These Years" is lovely.

The Scientist is one of those songs that always makes me think of Sam and having to leave England. :(

Come up to meet ya, tell you I'm sorry
You don't know how lovely you are
I had to find you, tell you I need ya
And tell you I set you apart
Tell me your secrets, and nurse me your questions
Oh lets go back to the start
Running in circles, coming in tails
Heads on a science apart
Nobody said it was easy
It's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be this hard
Oh take me back to the start
I was just guessing at numbers and figures
Pulling the puzzles apart
Questions of science, science and progress
Do not speak as loud as my heart
And tell me you love me, come back and haunt me
Oh and I rush to the start
Running in circles, chasing tails
Coming back as we are

Nobody said it was easy
Oh it's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be so hard
I'm going back to the start

EXACTLY! if i were in a situation where a boyfriend pissed me off and he sent me this song to make up, i would welcome him back with open arms. but reality is, this hardly happens.
that last line gets me every time. he is so sweet and sounds so sorry for what he had done. i mean come on now, if Chris Martin was on my door step begging for me to take him back with open arms you better believe i would have my door wide open! :censored: :mac: hahaha he would have me at hello! :combust:

LOL at the thong song

   *dies*

and that, my dear friend kirk, is a pleasure trail. ;)

Viva scientist. Fortunately this was the CD of choice this week on my vacation. The guy that seemed to think he had all control of music all week finally settled in with this CD after hearing me play it. :D
