When Hurrican Ivan hit it ripped off part of our chimney. We are getting a whole crew out here tomorrow to rebuild it. It's not going to be quiet! Not only that but the neighbors are building a fireplace in their house, and more bricklayers will be occupied with that. It's right outside my window. I keep telling myself that I put with with the Construction Noise From Hell for sixteen months while they enlarged their house so much it was like building a new house. It was tough, but I survived it. Gosh, I hate noise.

I just came up with a "coping" scenario for this situation. I'm going to go in a room and turn a fan up full blast to keep the noise out. Then I'm going to get a canvas and start another project with a pencil sketch. I've got a gazillion acrylic tubes in my paintbox that it would be stupid and wasteful not to use. Here's my chance, I already know it's going to include birds.
