I get depressed when my mind is idle too.
I'm a TypeA personality, and when I don't have a project that takes up most of my time, I go nuts. When I was in school, I would get so depressed during breaks because I had nothing to do with myself on days I didn't have to work.
I need to learn some relaxation techniques.
