I caught the tail end of one where, for some reason, the main designer thought it would be cool to change the master bedroom of this late 40's early 50 year old couple's house into something that looked like a train car sleeper room in dark blue with white trim (did I mention it was the MASTER bedroom?).

The wife hated it but was trying her best to be gracious.

It was fun watching her trying to contain herself. She was pissed that they painted her furniture, too.

I have never gotten the appeal of that show, even after my mom told me that it's classic, some of the looks on the faces when they DON'T like the makeover, lmao.

I like that Christopher guy on Discovery, he's FUN with a captial F!

i love it when the people hate the room. it's mean to say but it's pretty damn funny. my mom saw one where the lady burst in tears and had a breakdown. :ohmy:

you're right-o daddy-o about the designer. therefore, i will not be bearing children for him.

right now they're in chicago. :hyper:
 
I cant watch shows like that unless I have a house of my own to play with.

I LOVE trading spaces. My aunt watched it from when it first came on and she got my mom and I hooked. I think its a really cool concept for the show, although i'd have to admit that I would CRY if they did some of the things they do to *MY* home. I love Vern and Lori, they do things that are more my tastes. And has anyone SEEN Ty???:drool: :drool: :drool:

He can build me a coffee table any day:wink:
 
I can't watch that show.. it makes me have panic attacks.

I couldn't imagine what I would do if someone re-did a portion of my house and I didn't like it. :crazy:
 
This sounds like Changing Rooms. We get the pom version and the aussie version. I think I would kill anyone who did what these Aussie so called designers do to some of these rooms.

It is just wrong in so many ways.

I get this sick kick out of watching these people find their 'mates' have painted their bedrooms a violent shade of red and stuff.

I remember an embarassing moment in Ecology when I had to read out loud something from the book, and instead of saying "organism" I said "orgasm" LOL:yes:

I :heart: trading spaces too!!! I posted about it a couple months ago in LS.

one of my best friends and I both found out that it was our new favorite show :D One day she said "I have a new favorite show" and little did she know it was my new favorite show too :lol:

If we go out to eat or out with friends on the nite trading spaces is on, and we can't watch the show, I'll record it and then we'll watch it at her house :lol:

And I hate that ho from the frickin Mervyns commercials. Her voice makes me wanna tear my eyeballs out with a rusty fork.

Flower I'd trade spaces with you in a MINUTE. I love your apartment. Wanna live in this bedroom in my parents house? I didnt think so :huh:
