io descriminating pants

i got a pair of zipper-with-your-left-hand pants recently and it's hard for me to gather the dexterity to complete the zippering in one smooth motion.

why is it that in most pants you always zipper with your right hand?

no i clearly did not.

one zippers with her left hand generally because that's the way the zipper is sewn in.

but now i got this pair of pants that has a backward zipper sewn in, i can't zipper with my right hand.

I was always told that the significance of left/right zipperdom dealt with the gender the clothing was made for (you know, male or female).
