owww, I hate that. I seriously don't hang the washing out at night at this house for that very reason.

Oh, and the feng shui. It's bad feng shui to hang your washing out at night. Thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Yep, thats it, its all up to feng shui. Nothing to do with the fact that its Friday night and we're playing on the internet.

So these spiders act as a defribrillator? I needed one earlier after beli caused my sudden and now severe heart attack. I think I might have even died for a few minutes, but I came back. Like Jesus.

I like your gecko. He's cute

And I concur re: the washing. My clothesline is under the patio (roof) and too often I think I'll do the right thing and not use the dryer....and too often I think why the fuck did I bother???

We have redback plagues. No pics please guys. The American friends can just guess what these fuckers look like, ok?

So, Angela and Dandy, I won't tell you about having to identify thousands of the slippery little suckers as part of my work experience with the Forestry Commission by looking at them under a microscope.

Don must be getting ready to hibernate, or something, as I haven't seen him for a while.

And then one sneaks up on you

Seriously though, most of the time you never see anything.

I did nearly pick up a black tiger snake once and the kids at my sister-in-law's primary school must zip up their school bags to stop dugites (another type of snake) from climbing in. Apparently, someone took one home! Imagine get the lunch pack out of that bag

I have this friend who wants to go to Australia but after hearing about all of these bugs and other reptiles I'm not sure if she should go. Maybe I should warn her about this.

How do you guys prevent fatal accidents over there. I mean, you can get bitten all of the time. I'd be extremely cautious if I were you. (I'd probably stay indoors a lot if I were you 'though..)

It's a catch 22 isn't it? You can go out and potentially get killed by some dangerous thing out there in the world. Or you can not go out for fear of the dangerous thing and not really experience all that is out there.

lol. Don't make me laugh. Confidentiality keeps me from listing, and mocking, the stupid accidents that are reported at my workplace (I work in safety and health)

I hear you. I don't work in health and safety, but have a similiar confidentiality thing. It's so hard to keep a straight face around some of the things I see.
