I need somebody to open a jar of pickles for me. I have a craving, and I can't get it open. Dad is already sleeping, so I can't ask him.

I have attempted running hot water over it, but that did not help. Beating it with a big spoon didn't help either.

I've always had a hard time opening jars...even more so now since I broke my right hand in that car accident a couple years ago, I just don't have the strength in it that I used to...

I tried for 5 minutes to open a jar of fruit the other day but I finally got it open ....my trick is that I take the end of a knife handle, or some other unbreakable heavy object, and tap it along the side of the top of the lid of the jar, until the seal is loosened, and eventually I'm able to open it by myself.

works every time (although sometimes it takes a while)....a little trick I learned from mom

i hate pickles. the only time i've come near them is when i would work in the kitchen at chick-fil-a and i'd be putting them on sandwiches. even with gloves on my hands would reek of pickle juice afterwards, ewww.
