is it the:
-boy-unforgettable fire
-joshua tree-Rattle and Hum
-Achtung Baby-Pop

(all that you cant leave behind and htdaab dont really fit into one yet)

i gotta go with achtung baby-pop the experienting is great:drool:

The phases you had should really be

boy-October-War

The Unforgettable Fire-Joshua Tree-Rattle and Hum

Achung Baby-Zooropa-Pop

Atyclb-htdaab

If it is like this case, my answer would be the unforgettable fire-joshua tree-rattle and hum phase.

Achtung-Zooropa-Pop, with a caveat.

Can I keep the album Pop and ditch their image from that time? Hell, I'll even keep the giant lemon and the ginormous video screen. Just don't make me take bald Bono and gay disco Edge.

You are correct sir.

i would just like to point out since i created this thread that i wasnt trying to pair the albums in threes or anything and i just like unforgettable fire has more of the punk sound to it like in war then of the joshua tree sound

gaa wrong quote i meant to quote 00kevins post:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Let me put it this way.

Anything of or pertaining the any of those three things is solid gold

If I have to choose using these era's I'd have to say AB -ZOO-POP,
but my all-time fav album is Unforgettable Fire

I'd probably say AB-Zooropa-Pop. My favorite album's the Joshua Tree and my second or third favorite's the Unforgettable Fire, but Rattle and Hum's definately one of U2's weakest efforts in my eyes, and I like all of the 90's work, so I had to go with the 90's.

And although Lovetown probably beats Zoo TV soundwise, you just can't beat Zoo TV as far as shows are concerned.
