If you were going to burn a CD with your favorite U2 songs, in descending order, what would it look like? Assume about 15 songs, for a top-15 list. Also assume that you could use any live peformance (even if it’s available only on DVD).

This is what my CD would look like:

15. Kite (Live: Slane Castle)
14. Until the End of the World
13. Mysterious Ways (Live: Slane Castle)
12. Beautiful Day
11. One
10. Pride (Live: Rattle and Hum)
9. A Sort of Homecoming
8. The Fly
7. Sunday Bloody Sunday (Live: Slane Castle)
6. New Year’s Day
5. With or Without You (Live: Rattle and Hum)
4. Bad
3. Ultraviolet
2. Drowning Man
1. Where the Streets Have No Name (Live: Slane Castle)

Largo, welcome to Interference! I hope you enjoy your stay! You've got some great songs there! I've been making Dream CD's/tapes of U2 for as long as I can remember. Whenever I'd meet somebody new who I cared about, I'd usually give them the obligatory U2 mix.
Peace!

Thanks for the welcome! I make CDs all the time too; I just wish some more of the live versions of songs were avaliable on CD.

Thanks. It's fun to be here. I like a lot of your picks.

I'm not a big fan of Zoo TV. I do like the first part of the concert (I have to skip over the Zooropa songs). The TV/media theme works well around the Achtung Baby songs, though the inclusion of pieces like Angel of Harlem gives a schizophrenic feel to the show. And I'm afraid the MacPhisto encore just didn't work at all.

I think Zooropa and Pop represent the lowest points of the band's career. They re-achieved greatness with All That You Can't Leave Behind, and Slane Castle is the best live DVD (Boston a close second).

Don't wear out your welcome so soon, Largo! Lol! You're going right for the throat by saying you didn't dig U2's 90's stuff.
