Even Better Than The Real Thing.
The spinning camera is amazing, can't really figure out how they did it.

If you have the best of DVD play the video with the director's commentary, he talks about that camera a bit. Maybe I'll get mine out later, I can't remember what was said. :reject:

1. New Year's Day....
It's my favorite song of all time!! I also love the fact that U2 hid
bottles of whiskey in the snow, to keep themselves warm...

2. Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me....
I love the animation, and that one "special" human snap of Bono
smiling...and laughing...

3. Sweetest Thing....
It's cute how his tries to apologize to his wife. I love the scene
when Bono removes those shades, and we get a zoom shot of
those "sexy" baby blues.. I melt each time I see that part!!

4. With Or Without You....
Bono is just "so-ooo incredibly" sexy in that video.. YUMMY!

5. Walk On....
The version where Bono wakes up from sleeping in his hotel
room and walks out on the penthouse balcony. Alot of GREAT
scenes in this video, ( Bono meeting fans, signing autographs
outside of their concerts, U2 on the beach playing soccer.....
.....just to name a couple GOOD scenes..) When this video
version was released... I watched it "non-stop" for one week
straight!!!!! I couldn't stop!!! :bono:  :bono:

Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses......because Bono is sublime:drool:

Electrical Storm....Larry....:combust:

Numb...poor Edge, awwww!

and Discotheque for a sheer laugh!

I cant believe everyone is forgetting about :

All I want is you- even though the band is only shown at the end, the imagery in the video makes me want to cry

Lemon-Back in the day when U2 was the only group with the balls to do an innovative video such as this

Staring at the sun- 1st version with the huge sun staring at them is awesome

The Unforgettable Fire- I love it when Adam and Larry are just walking around the factory for no apparent reason

Even Better Than The Real Thing!

However, I love too Stay, Discothèque, The Fly, Staring At The Sun, Stuck In a Moment and One (Berlin version and Buffalos version [perfect imagery] - I'm sorry but I'm not a fan of the bar version...)

One (Berlin version) or SYCMIOYO

From a technical point of view, IGWSHA is really cool, too.

I would have to go with either:

-The Sweetest Thing: It's so creative and so different and makes the song so much more fun that it makes for a great moment. I love the light bulb and how they try and make it look cheap by showing that stick that holds it.

or

One (Bar Version): Because Damn, that video is the epitome of elegance.

My favourite video is Where the Streets Have No Name. The long version on U2.com is awesome, I had only seen the regular version. I like it because it shows a connection between the fans and the band in a real setting. I also like it because the band was sticking it to the man by filming the video when and where they did their performance. And of course, the song rocks.

Ok, upon further review I must also mention Numb. Very experimental and Edge must have the patience of a saint to put up with all that stuff in his face.

I would also have to include the Sweetest Thing for similar reasons. Unique video and highly entertaining with Bono doing his best Charlie Chaplin or silent movie homage.

Thanks to this thread, I am getting some use of my U2.com membership.

Ok its impossible to pick just one video, but any of the following would certainly qualify:

Where the Streets Have No Name
One
Even Better than the real thing
Stay
If God Would Send His Angels
Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking for

Sorry thats about as condensed I could make it:)

I didn't see a lot of u2 videos.
80's-i saw only Pride, New year's day, Streets, ISHFWILF, With or without you, Desire and Angel of Harlem
90's-i didn't see Mofo, and now All because of you

Can somebody help me and tell me how other videos look like??
Can somebody, please, tell me all the 70's(if) and 80's videos??

where the streets ... best ... video ... ever

this is solidified by the fact that they revisited the "live" video theme in "All Because of You" (which in turn is a much better video than "Vertigo").

I love very rare videos as Gloria, A Celebration, Two Hearts Beat As One, Until The End Of The World and Love Is Blindness

It's definitely not Bob Hewson although I'm not sure of the person's name. Actually if you turn on the commentary track for the One video in the Best Of DVD set, it's mentioned.
