Oh my, that is SO TRUE for me. Proof? Just go see my signature - and avatar! - at http://www.christianforums.com/member.php?userid=12387 - oh and also see the additional information, notably my location! Did I go overboard? No, not according to me!

LOL-this is eerie. I'll direct you to the Teenspot boards and the Teenink boards for examples of this for me. :D.

Aw.. They're your birds, you should be able to name 'em whatever you want.

And yeah, alia612 is right about the reasoning behind Boy being censored-the whole potential child porn thing and all.

- Aside from being quite envious of anyone who got to see ZooTV or JT tour, you tend to remember years by the albums or tours of that year... eg: That movie was made in '87 ... "Hey the year of Joshua Tree"

- You know what the initials above meant.

- you know Sarajevo NOT 'cause of the war.

- when watching VH1 you "Accidentally" turn the volume up when there's a U2 special on so that your family hear the praises.

- Trying to convince your sister to do analyse a U2 song in her english class 'cause you didn't get to do so yourself.

 (my sister didn't analyze a U2 song, but she did actually use a Bono quote in a speech she gave against the war in Iraq last year-she used part of the infamous "Sunday Bloody Sunday" rant :D).

-When you DO put U2 into your schoolwork!

Yep. Absolutely.

Hehe, going back to the "You, too" thing, by the way-tonight there was some commercial in which some lady said something like, "You, too, should make the call", and my dad said, "Hey, did ya hear that, Ang, they want U2 to make the call". :p. So there's another one-when even your family and friends connect the phrase "You, too" to the band.

you know youu are a U2 fanatic when-- you watch a TV telecast of Elevation-live from Boston the day before the most important exam of your life!

that was the first time I saw an elevation concert(one & a half yrs ago), and man was I blown away!

I especially loved "The fly"-- it was just playing in a continous loop in my head, over & over .I gave the exam with one half of my brain doing calculations and the other half playing "The fly"!( it lasted for a whole week)

also- I aced the exams-just proves U2 have a positive effect , no matter when u listen to them!

mysterious ways comes on in the WAL*MART and you dance and shout out loud.

 Oh, yeah. Or, how about, when you hear a song on the school bus, but unfortunately, you have to get off the bus before the song is over, so you're walking down the sidewalk finishing out the rest of the song. :).

And speaking of "Mysterious Ways"...I requested that song for my senior prom. Unfortunately, they didn't play it. :(.

-People try not to mention U2 around you because they know that you won't stop talking about them for the next 4 hours.
It happens a lot with me!! :D
In fact, people are AFRAID of mentioning U2 or aything related to Ireland when I'm around.

Don't know about anyone else, but whenever someone mentions a lemon or I see a lemon around, I can hear Bono's falsetto "LEMON" ringing through my mind.

Haha, yes-in fact, something like that happened to me the other night. My sister, mom, and I had gone to the store, and my sister'd gotten some Eclipse Lemon Ice gum, and I looked at it and immediately imitated the falsetto. :D.

Another one: you stay up really late, or get up really early, to catch something U2-related on TV or some webcast or whatever.

- When you crash your car, your always hoping Daddy's gonna pay for the damage. ( Strange how its never any other family member, or yourself.)

I'm a shocker when it comes to lemons. People probably think I'm really weird when I start to sing ... and U2 fanatics probably think I'm weird because I sing them in the wrong order ...

Don't even get me started on meeting someone named Gloria or when I overhear people telling their dogs to stay.

 For me, I don't have any things like these in my native language.

I'm guilty of "you too"/U2 syndrome too. :D

And if reading about an ordinary edge in English, I will sometimes think of Edge.

Someone actually told me that today... he heard "One" on the radio and it reminded him of me, an amazing song to be remembered by... :D don't you think?

 I get that a lot.

*You refer to your guitar-player brother as The Jim

**Bonus points if you got him to register on Interference as The Jim...:shifty:

***Double bonus points if the day he came home with a new red guitar you sang "Desire" to him all day

From the original post, the ones that apply to me 100%...

- You see the word 'pride', you start singing "In the naaaaame of love ..."
- Mentioning that it's eleven o'clock is a dangerous thing to do around you.
- You know a non-U2 song not because of its original version but because U2 did a cover of it or Bono sung a snippet live.
- Someone mentions a location and you instantly say "U2 played there!" and know the exact date and setlist.
(well, maybe not the setlist, but often the date!)
- Browsing U2 setlists, even ones you've already read, is a favourite hobby of yours.

They are really really true. If someone says 11 O'clock i always start singing.... same if someone says 'desire', 'gloria', 'please', 'gone'.... the list goes on.

U2 singing snippets have got me into some really cool music. Although I'm not sure about the snippet of the Neighbours song at one of the Melbourne Lovetown shows...

I was at a electronics store and put my Best Of 1990-2000 c.d in a karaoke machine and started singing my heart out with people watching.:D And i um...have 2 copies of ATYCLB.1 is the US version and the 2nd is the UK version.I have the ticket stubs from the 2 concerts i went to, and i own every VHS and DVD they ever released.I still have my original copy of R&H i got in 1990.

Haha, yeah, there ya go-either that happens, or you start getting into other bands that sound similar to U2 or have some sort of other connection to them (collaborated with them on a song or something of that nature).
