See in Wales we're so bad that we have to celebrate our *almost* victories because the real victories are so hard to come by. We'd be spending our lives sober and miserable if we waited for a real victory to celebrate.

(this isn't bashing Wales, btw - I live there sometimes and it's something people where I live joke a lot about...in a purely affectionate way
