Who is Scott Walker?

In the latest Blender article Adam says that "COBL began as an outake from Pop. To us, it was an homage to Scott Walker. The Working title was Scott Walker"

Anyone know who this was?

Cheers

He is a reclusive recording artist from the UK I believe. Walker has only recorded three albums in the last 20 years and doesn't have much of a public following , but he is praised and imitated by many musicians including David Bowie, Brian Eno, among others....

I got the song The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore from The Walker Brothers and it sounds really, really good. I really like it and have already burned it to a cd. I'm definitely going after more songs and going to try to track down their records! Thanks Bono!
