My favourites are

Ultraviolet/Acrobat/Love is blindness,
First time/Dirty day/The Wanderer and
Heartland/God part II/All I want is you ;)

Oh... tough one! I'd have to say the 3-song closer from Achtung Baby is my favorite. Such a perfect ending for such a dark and moody album.

Not even the faintest hint of a contest. The Joshua Tree's Suite Of Death dominates.

If I were to rank them all:

1. One Tree Hill, Exit, Mothers Of The Disappeared
2. If You Wear That Velvet Dress, Please, Wake Up Dead Man
3. God Part II, Bullet The Blue Sky (live), All I Want Is You
4. Indian Summer Sky, Elvis Presley And America, MLK
5. The First Time, Dirty Day, The Wanderer
6. Ultra Violet, Acrobat, Love Is Blindness *
7. Another Time Another Place, The Electric Co., Shadows And Tall Trees
8. One Step Closer, Original Of The Species, Yahweh
9. When I Look At The World, New York, Grace
10. Red Light, Surrender, 40 **
11. Stranger In A Strange Land, Scarlet, Is That All?

* Significantly dragged down by Ultra Violet.
** Significantly dragged down by Red Light.

I'm surprised you rank this one so high. I love it(as evidenced by my ranking above), but I didn't think you liked Pop that much.

Definitely Achtung Baby's Ultraviolet/Acrobat/Love is Blindness trinity.

I also give high points to Boy. I love Another Time, Another Place/Electric Co/Shadows and Tall Trees.

The top one's definitely the Joshua Tree. Nothing can beat that ending. Nothing.

I mean, come on. One Tree Hill/Exit/Mothers of the Disappeared?

Well, it contains two of my four favourite songs on Pop (the four are Last Night On Earth, Gone, Velvet Dress, and Wake Up Dead Man), and I'd probably rank Please fifth or sixth, even though I think its studio version is incredibly inferior to the live versions.

Pop's a hit and miss album for me. When it hits, it's some of U2's very best work.

The Joshua Tree hands down.

One Tree Hill-
Exit-
Mothers Of the Disappeared-

AB isn't even close to being top.
One great song (Acrobat) sandwiched between crud. :barf:
But I still expect AB to win. Like it does for every question ever asked in the history of this forum :tsk: "what's the best album starting with O?" "Achtung Baby11!"

Love is Blindness, on a good day, may be my favorite U2 song....

I'm gonna have to say "The Star-Spangled Banner" / "Bullet the Blue Sky" / "All I Want Is You," solely so Rattle and Hum will have been mentioned three times with a different three last songs each time.

I absolutely love the last 3 songs of the Joshua Tree but I can't think of them as one cohesive finale.
