Which are your favorite 4 songs in a row? (as they appear on an album)

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
If I can go with three, I'll go with:

Ultraviolet
Acrobat
Love Is Blindness

If bootlegs count, then my all-time favorite line-up is from Zoo Europa (8-28-93, Dublin):

Bad
Bullet the Blue Sky
Running to Stand Still
Where the Streets Have No Name

Possibly my favorite 15-20 minutes (give or take) ever. Chill- and joy-inducing.

This is so very difficult. I had an answer, but then I just mentally chucked it. I'll have to read this over and see some other opinions.

I have to go with more than one sequence.

1. The AB greats:
Tryin to Throw...
Ultra Violet
Acrobat
Love is Blindness

2. Songs I think were written about me:
Walk On
Kite
In A Little While
Wild Honey

Cool thread!

I'm going to pick

Gone
Miami
The Playboy Mansion
If You Wear That Velvet Dress

I can't help it...POP is my favorite U2 album. *waiting to be flamed*:reject:

I've also always loved the ending of the POPMART Mexico video too. Basically from HMTMKMKM to the end. I can watch that part endlessly.

I agree with you there.....I can't get enough of the rising guitar on Mysterious Ways....Love it!

My lineup is the start of JT....but all of them mentioned are great.

the opening of The Joshua Tree
just mighty

that album, those songs, really stood out from the crowd at the time. Instantly recognisable, instant energy, everyone loved them
by my recollection anyway:)
all good

I pick the first four songs from October.

Gloria
I Fall Down
I Threw A Brick Through A Window
Rejoice

This album sets off a liitle bit of their religous beliefs in their music.

If i had more choices will be from Rattle And Hum

Heartland
God Part II
Star Spangled Banner(even though it was done by Jimi Hendrix)
Bullet The Blue Sky

Sometimes songs like those make people apperciate being Americans. It's song about the Journey's U2 went through while making this c.d.And BTBS has some kick butt bass lines ::winks::

Staring At the Sun
Last Night On Earth
Gone
Miami

and of course, the default answer of JT 1-4.

Hmmm, that's a very good question ... I never thought about how songs "fit" with each other.

I'd say my favourite four are ~

Tomorrow
October
With a Shout (Jerusalem)
Stranger in a Strange Land

Followed closely by ~

Seconds
New Year's Day
Like a Song
Drowning Man

And the last 3 songs of Achtung Baby are perfect!

Top Bottom
