Myself as well as probably many of you who have been on this board for a long time remember Novelty Act was supposed to a B-side 4 years ago and all of a sudden a clip of it appears today?

Weird, I never knew that it even existed.

I think it's a POP leftover anyways.
Try singing this along with it

"Your convent shoes
stick on tattoos, never making the news,
your holy war, sermont on the mount......etc"

I guess we know where that 'Please' melody came from.

This clip sounds excellent! Where did it show up?

EDITED: OK - see the other thread on Are You Gonna Wait for the real origin of it...!

cheers

This is the Madelyn Iris version of Drowning Man, with a poem read by Bono at the beginning, which I believe was added by someone in Brazil for some unofficial something? Vague enough? :D

Hope you don't mind Mark.

Edit: Poem

The threefold terror of love; a fallen flare
Through the hollow of an ear;
Wings beating about the room;
The terror of all terrors that I bore
The Heavens in my womb.

Had I not found content among the shows
Every common woman knows,
Chimney corner, garden walk,
Or rocky cistern where we tread the clothes
And gather all the talk?

What is this flesh I purchased with my pains,
This fallen star my milk sustains,
This love that makes my heart's blood stop
Or strikes a Sudden chill into my bones
And bids my hair stand up?

I love the way Bono recites this - especially "heart's blood stop"
