I am looking for the total number of copies sold world-wide for each U2 album for that album's first year and every year after that as well as total number of copies sold to date. Where can I find this information?

you mean like a webisite with that data? yes, i'd like to see that too.
i read a couple of times now that overall U2 has sold over 100 million albums (articles, the appearance of U2 on Much music).
as for overall sales for albums (this is only approximate, from what i read in this forum):
JT 17 million copies
AB 12 million copies
Zooropa 9 million copies (i think)
Pop 6 or 7 million copies
ATYCLB - about 8 or 9 million copies in its first year so far

Boy: 2.7 million
October: 2.8 million
War: 7.7 million
UABRS: 8.3 million (!)
Undoregettable Fire: 7.2 million
WAIA: 2.2 million
Joshua Tree: 16.5 million
Rattle and Hum: 10.5 million
Achhhhtung baby!: 11 million
Zooropa: 7.7 million
Pop: 5.5 million
ATYCLB: 13 million
