Beautiful Day is far superior, IMO. Plus, it has a much, much better vocal performance.

Always is a cool song, but I guess I'd take Beautiful Day over it. Always gets a bit cliche at times, methinks. Besides, it's a demo. Beautiful Day is the finished article.

I think Beautiful Day is a better song overall, more mature, the lyrics are better, it deserves its spot on the album... I like them both about the same though, because Always just makes me happy, love the lyrics as a lot of others said.
Turn each song into a prayer, be uncool yes be awkward etc. Puts me in a good mood.
Though I loooove how the backing "Always" in that song still made it into Beautiful Day, hearing that has a tendency to invoke the warm fuzzy Always feeling when listening to BD for me
