VMA U2 mention

You know how every year MTV does that little VMA Highlights show before the new show airs? Well, tonight I saw a little bit of it and they were talking about how they were having "technical difficulties" when the boys played last year. It was all well and good until one of the people commenting on it said something to the effect of, "The audience gave a standing ovation, but it was probably for the tech people and not for U2."

What? Is it so hard to believe that the audience would give U2 a standing ovation?

although i recall when i was watching that i really felt like booing the techies and had no idea what was happening

Ahhh...Yeah, that makes sense, but that person's comment about how the audience wasn't giving the standing ovation to U2 kind of irked me.
