Virigns - were there any??

yes this is U2 related and only you old school people that were here September-Ocotber 2000 will know the term ATYCL Virgin but to let you know the ATYCLB was leaked (hee hee I was one of the dealers of the leaked mp3s I can now admit) but anyway there was a bunch of people in this Forum who were commited to not listening to any of the new album besides the single Beautiful Day prior to the release date. They were called ATYCLB Virgins...

Were there any Best of 1990-2000 virgins that did not listen to Hands that Built America or new versions of Staring at the Sun, Disco, and Gone until you bought the CD??

Just wondering...

Me. I did not listen to them before I bought the CD. For any new album, besides U2, it doesn't matter - I never give a new album a test-drive before I buy it if I'm a fan of the artist. If I happen to hear a new single on the radio or MTV, that's different.

There's just something about ripping that cellophane, popping the CD out of it's holder, and putting it into my CD player. I love that. I never download music. :)

Wow! That actually sounds really smart. I wish I had that kind of discipline!

Me too. I have to wait till Christmas to be rid of my Best Of virginity. :sigh:

basically
I'm too lazy to download stuff

+ I prefer hearing songs for the first time when the album is out
(don't know why, I just do)

I have always saved myself for U2

I remember the first time last time(ATYCLB). I had heard a bit of The Ground beneath her Feet somewhere. I think JJJ played a sneak snippet and I caved in on that....it didn't count, just a brief  eh?
I don't think I will get The best of 90+ for a while, as it turns out. I will probably get Hands That Built America on video one day. I have been hearing the remixes a lot ( snippets of ) in the shopping centre. Sanity had the best of on rotation. It;s been great ..numb the other day:dance:
so perhaps the oldest virgin you'll find. but hey are oh so well worth waiting for. I:heart: turning:adam: :larry: :bono: their music into an occassion...but u know that already.
I still have hardly listened to ATYCLB enough yet. I had a nice U2 concert today actually, got the amp fixed, back in business:dance:
they're a good band aren't they?
merry new year camilo
Hands? I have a song for Angela..u need hands to hold a newborn baby..u need hands to guide them on their way...
I only heard the elevation influx remix recently...that is so groovy:yes:

i am not kiwiporn i am not kiwiporn

i as an atyclb virgin...i think johnny swallow started that whole pledge thing
ah, those were the days....

but nah, i gave in to the powers of bonolust this time round.
however for the new album..ill probably wait again, excluding listeneing to a few teasers if there are any. it was far more exciting that way.
there's a reason for foreplay u know!

*raises hand* I was. I only heard 5 seconds worth of Hands That Built America. As for the rest, I only heard them when I got the cd. I never really liked SATS, Gone and Numb, but the remixes on the Best Of cd were darn good!
