i was watching vh1 and CNN an these lists were on there....

100 greatest moments that rocked TV..

http://www.vh1.com/shows/dyn/100_greatest/63769/episode.jhtml

#90 U2 performs a 9/11 tribute at Superbowl XXXVI halftime. (2002)

#66 U2 makes their American TV debut on Tomorrow with Tom Snyder. (1981)

#26 Live-Aid is seen around the world by an estimated 1.5 billion viewers. (1985)

top 4..

#4 MTV is launched. (1981)

#3 The Beatles' give their first televised U.S. live performance on The Ed Sullivan Show. (1964)

#Michael Jackson debuts The Moonwalk on Motown 25. (1983)

#1 Bill Clinton plays sax on The Arsenio Hall Show. (1992)

I think this list is alot better than that rolling stone poll where they had the death of tupac shakur as #1.

an i saw this on CNN...

I did inhale

Yes seeing Bill Clinton perform on the Arsenio Hall show changed my life. It had a more far reaching impact than Live Aid or America: A tribute to heroes.

Now, how do show you're being sarcastic on a reply...

I thought the death of John Lennon would be #1 on the VH1 thing. But he was #1 on some other top 100 list show they did. So I guess they were just going with a more upeat #1.

Honestly, VH1 does way tooooo many top 100 shows, it's getting pretty annoying.

I think that did the trick.

dude, I am totally insulted as a musician that the fact that bill fucking clinton's horrendous sax playing (on the arsenio hall show no less) is the no.1 "moment that rocked tv" or whatever.....I mean, is that supposed to be funny or what?

besides, isn't bill the one who usually GETS the blowing instead of doing it?
