I heard that the cassette version (and possibly also the vinyl version) of this song has the extra verse and that it was edited in order to make it possible for everything to fit on a single CD. Can anyone confirm this?

I know of an extra verse -

"Still the gunman rules, and widows pay.
A scarlet coat, now a black beret.
They thought that blood and sacrifice,
would out of death, bring forth a life".

Im pretty sure that's right. I have the vinyl of R&H, but ive never actually played it, so im not sure if it's all on there or not:eyebrow:

Are you sure it's on the cassette? That's what I grew up listening to and I don't remember that extra verse. Maybe it's just on the vinyl. I could just have a horrible memory, though:huh:

I grew up listening to the cassette and remember that the verse was written on the j-card, but the song faded out before you could actually hear Mr. Edge sing it. Also, Silver & Gold had a couple extra lines of lyrics in the lyric sheet, that I don't recall ever hearing.

Did the Hedge sing that verse live? I don't seem to recall it there, either
