I wrote a song. In retrospect, I was able to see that it was pretty much influenced by 2 U2 songs, and the influence is not hard to see. I am interested in seeing if anyone can name the 2 songs. If anyone can actually do so, it will be stunning confirmation that listening to the same music actually evokes common imagery in people.

Remember
White noise from summer sun
Hammer hitting my head and throbbing blood
Heat waves rising from the black coal road
Everything so real and beautiful
Like a movie I saw, but the theatre was life

Remember
Dying smell of fading sunlight
Cold and lonely as only you could make me feel

Remember
The still water we woke
The shining water by the evening light
The world was an ocean
But we were living in our seashell

I felt the dirt in my hands
And I saw the spinning clouds
I was a star, floating freely alone
Feeling, feeling so small
With the world all around me

Remember
Dusty air of the city twilight
Empty road bathing in streetlights
Wind by my side like a lonesome dog
Leaving all that I could start
Broken lungs, silent head, empty heart

Soft light that filled the room
That melts the edges around your smile
And I can see the lie that you hide
Remember, We never said a word
Remember, We faced apart
But in our silence we felt each other
Oh, I felt the world in me
And I felt myself in you

I have no clue

I do like it though

I know I'll get this wrong, but I saw Summer Rain and Streets in your poem.

It's nice how both you and ishkash have a gift for poetry; perhaps best friends influence each other
