Another awesome U2 show, I was in the nosebleeds. Bono added Californication to the jubilation celebration at the end of Elevation and that was real cool.

It was great finally getting to here Out of Control live on this tour.

During Out of Control Bono talked about how they first played a Country Club here in L.A. after traveling from London and NY to LA and that the next day after their performance they were in the Calendar section of the L.A. Times and how the "Mighty Bob Hilburn(LA Times music critic)" said they were going to go places...and now we are out of control!!

Or something like that. Others there feel free to correct me.

THEN, after ANgel of Harlem, they pulled someone up and I recognized it as being Courtney, the guitarist for the female L.A. Based U2 tribute band, Exit! She had a sign that said I play guitar in a U2 tribute band and Bono said, "It pays to advertise". She went up and played guitar and walked around the heart but would not sing with Bono and he added that into the words he was making up for People Get Ready. It was real cute and she hugged Bono and her hero, The Edge and they returned her after People Get Ready.

Please was very cool to hear, wish it was electric!

Ok thats it for now. I look forward to next Monday, the final L.A. show which I have GAs for and hope to be in the heart!!!

Wow, I just read the U2LA Yahoo group and Andi posted this:
"Captive, ?guitarist for the all girl U2 tribute band Exit was pulled on stage by Bono and the Edge for an impromptu jam session!!! Exit is whisked away by officials after the show! "

They probably went to meet with band backstage and maybe got invited to the VIP party!!!

Great report Camilo, thanks. It seems that the girl from Exit band had the time of her life yesterday.

Hey guys!
I was in the heart yesterday, and Courtney was 2 people down from me, it was SO awesome when she got pulled up on stage, I got some really good pics of that! After the show I told her she did a great job, and I saw the security guys talking to her and another girl to go with them!! She looked so unbelievably excited and humble, it was a definite highlight of the show, and loved how Bono asked her in front of me like 3 times, so you are sure you can play/what can you play, and then Bono completely forgot the words to People Get Ready and was like "and the singer forgets the words" it was great!!!
We had gotten in line at 6am, GA line was incredibly organized, we were 88 and 89, we got into the heart and were at the tip of the inside, next to the Exit girls...right in front of the bull fight. AWESOME!!!!! I thought I was gonna hyperventilate the entire time!
Bono was very talkative through the entire show. I really loved WGO with Gwen! Great song!
I am staying at my Aunts' house down here in Granada Hills, so when I get home tomorrow I will write more and show you the 40 pics I took, they should be excellent, with a digital camera and zoom!
Tonite we will be back stage, there is no way I could've done GA twice in a row.
OH!!!
Almost forgot! Edge came out to say HI and shook some hands, got some pics of that too! The others did not come out at all.
This was my best experience so far, Phoenix was the only other time I was in the heart and GA was a nightmare, Staples was so on it! There was even a barrier for the line that we were escorted to at 7am, and honestly it was just a wonderful experience, everyone was so orderly.
Our spots were amazing, and I will never ever forget last night.

WildHoneyAlways,
if my memory serves me well, the WGRYWH verses he sang during Bad was: "You're dangerous, 'cos you're honest/ you're dangerous, you don't know what you want / Well you left my heart empty as a vacant lot / for any spirit to haunt"

Needless to say, the show was incredible! Also, I was so proud to see Courtney up there jamming with Edge and too shy to sing along with Bono... Being in the heart was awesome, of course. It was very memorable being drenched with rain in the GA line... and later, when we were almost dry again, Bono kicking cups water all over us... twice.
