Okay, so what if you were driving from LA to Vegas or thru any desert really, and you wanted to make a U2 CD for your car! In my mind, I'm seeing this joygasmic mix of The Joshua Tree, Spanish Eyes, Heartland, Deep In The Heart etc., but don't really have it down to 80 minutes yet. Interested in putting this together?

You gotta have Drowning Man in there somewhere. Just for the irony. :)

Here is my list...

Beautiful Ghost
Where the Streets...
Silver & gold
I Still Haven't found...
Spanish Eyes
With or Without you
Luminous Times
Walk to the Water
Bullet the Blue...
Running to Stand Stillred Hill Mining town
In God's Country
trip through your Wires
Sweetest Thing
One Tree hill
Deep in the Heart
Exit
Race against time
Mothers of the dissapeared

Why all Joshua Tree songs. The desert can be SO much more.

What about:

Things to Make and Do
Scarlet
Seconds
A Sort of Homecoming
Trying To Throw Your Arms Around The World
Wake Up Dead Man
The Wanderer
Hawkmoon 269
Love Comes Tumbling
Bass Trap
Always Forever Now (you gotta speed in the desert!)

Wire, Bad, Beautiful Day. If you are driving at night, then Last Night on Earth is a must. I agree, I love Joshua Tree because of the desert theme, but there is more that would work.

Desert driving needs rhythmic songs. This is why this list is good.

I don't get it. :reject:

Just because one isn't very likely to be a drowning man in the desert. Yeah, I know it's lame. :)

Streets
Tomorrow
A day without me
Heartland
Drowning man
LNOE
Red Hill Mining Town
Unforgetable fire
Hawkmoon 269
Indian summer Sky
Walk On
One Tree Hill
Promenade

... and don't forget "Fast Cars", just because you are in the desert, to dismantle and so on and so on ....

This is the U2 portion of a playlist from my last trip to Joshua Tree. No need to limit to 80 minutes when you have an iPod with an iTrip :sexywink: My iTrip came in loud and clear there too

Heartland
In God's Country
Love Comes Tumbling
Spanish Eyes
Where the Streets Have No Name
Van Diemen's Land
Dancing Barefoot
The Three Sunrises
Desire
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
One Tree Hill
Love Rescue Me
Bullet the Blue Sky
A Sort of Homecoming

All good choices. For me the list that I shared has a certain value. When ever I drive to Vegas from L.A. that is what I listen to. There is something about the landscape that goes with these songs. I choose JT songs but you can certainly add different ones to your own taste.
