"Johnny take a walk with your sister the Moon, let her pale light in to fill up the room..."

"Tonight, the Moon is a Mirrorball..."

"I saw you in the curve of the Moon, in the shadow cast across my room..."

Why so many references to the moon? I've also noticed lots of other references with other cosmic types. Just an easy object to rhyme with, I guess?

Moon...Mood...Room...Soon...Whew!....Too....Two...Loom....Whom?...Swoon

Uma?...Oprah....Uma?...Oprah.

"Fire"

Calling, calling
The sun is burning black
Calling, calling
It's beating on my back
With a fire
With a fire

Calling, calling
The moon is running red

Moon is useful as it rhymes with goon, spoon, loon & baboon.

As for why so many moons? I don't know, maybe bono wanted to be an astronaut at one stage:huh:

As with alot of lyrics, the more you try and interpret them, the less sense they make.

"I can't live... With or without you...."

Well, the lyrics of "With or Without You" make sense very well!
It's about a schizofrenic relationship, it's impossible for the main character to live with her, but he can't also go on without her...
