Ok, so I don’t want this to devolve into an argument thread. U2 created How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb just the way THEY wanted. I love it. Fine. Some hate it. Fine.

In this thread lets get past that. With the Complete U2, we have a cool and unique opportunity to see the album that “may have been.”

For the past few years U2 have been talking about this as their Garage Album, what I want is for you guys to take your best shot at putting together the U2 Garage Album.

--You have to use the songs that are available.

--You can use the new versions or the old versions

--You can use the unreleased and b-sides FROM THESE SESSIONS

--No longer than 12 songs

10 songs only for "U2's" attempt at a garage album. Zooropa only had 10 songs, and it won a Grammy for "Alternative Album of the Year", and Bono delivered his famous quote "We are going to continue to f@#k up the mainstream". He never finished his sentence though, as he meant to say "for the next seven years or so".

I like yours Neutral. Here's mine. I listened to about 8 different lists and i think this one is the best I came up with.

Should I call it Hanover Quay or Falsetto? I think both are cool names for a disc.

Dalton, surely this is patterned on Achtung Baby, although if that is the case I'm not sure the last 4 songs quite fit...
But if that's the case, are you saying Love and Peace is the new Until the End of the World, the current live rock staple at U2 shows? I certainly hope so, I'd love to see Love and Peace given that much attention in the live shows!

I'd also have One Step Closer in there, while it's not punk, it's definately stripped back (not to mention a beautiful song) which fits the bill for a garage album.
