Well Jesus was a man
Who traveled through the land
Hard workin' man and braaaave!
Well he stole from the rich
Givin' money to the poor
And they laid Jesus Christ in his graaaave!

ok, since u2 probably needs an excuse for releasing yet another fantastic compilation, why not suggest a worst of? i dont think anyone has ever done that before. so lets help the boys out, guys. choose the songs for your worst of u2 1980-2007 compilation.

and please dont list u218.

I would love to see every band/musician that puts out a Best of be required to include a What Were We Thinking?? bonus disc. For a band/musician with a sense of humour it could be great fun and for those without that sense of humour it might prevent the release of some really horrid Best of's. :)

5. Mysterious Ways

you drunk?

1. One
2. Trying to throw your arms around a long song title
3. Wild Honey
4. A Man and a Woman
5. Red Light
6. Babyface
7. All Beacause of You
8. Refugee
9. Peace on Earth

I like "Jesus Christ." I mean, in the context of the Woody/Leadbelly thing, it's great. It's raw - imagine if they tried it now? Might end up like "Don't Take Your Guns to Town." It sounds great alongside JT and R&H era stuff.

And maybe they were in over their head attempting it back in the 80's, but it's a rousing stomper. And Larry just kills on it.

When U2 do something very different, like some of the Zooropa and Pop stuff a lot of U2 fans are screaming of disaponment. Why? Is it so frightful when it sound so different? :)

pretty much everyone has listed at least one song i love in their lists.

there are very few if any U2 songs I truly dislike. but here's my album:

1. Red Light
2. Scarlet
3. The Three Sunrises
4. Love Rescue Me
5. Crumbs From Your Table
6. The Ocean
7. Halleljuah Here She Comes
8. Jesus Christ
9. Trash, Trampoline, and the Party Girl
10. Viva Davidoff
11. Elvis Ate America
12. Grace
13. Everlasting Love
14. A Room at the Heartbreak Hotel
15. Theme from The Swan
16. 4th of July

80's b-sides are overrated. I would take the 90's dance remixes over a lot of them. but considering most of my picks are either b-sides or atmospheric tracks that work alright in the context of the album and just don't stand out as individual songs, U2 aren't bad!
