The reason why I like Vertigo as the second single is that it is the catchiest, and most single like song on the album. So debut another song as the first single off the album, and that will become a hit because it will be the first new U2 song, then debut Vertigo after that, the best single type song.

That will at least guarantee 2 big hits, but right now it seems like Vertigo will be the only big single from the album.
