Edge's backing vocals are present in the backing track and aren't available to be claimed. You're only supposed to sing Bono's parts if you're taking a part where the lyrics are in purple (18, 21-24).

PLEASE LISTEN TO THE SONG PRIOR TO OR DURING YOUR RECORDING. If your vocals don't match due to you reciting your lines instead of singing or if you're waaay off sync, you will be asked to rerecord your segment.

If you commit yourself to a line, please attempt to make a decent recording. The minimal static rule still stands - if you submit a clip where there is too much static, your part will be thrown out and available to anyone else who wants to give it a shot. It's no offense to you, it's just that the static is annoying to listen to and is difficult to edit.
