Whew!!!! That's covers all 14 of U2's Grammys, half of which come from ATYCLB alone.

You have the years off by one... but I'm not sure if this is wrong or not... Plus, there MUST be some sort of distinction for "Best Rock Performances for a Duo or Group with Vocal" because you have this award going to BD and "Desire," which are songs (of course), as well as to AB and JT, which are albums. There must be a distinction between album and song.

I thought that was wrong too, which is why I edited it the first time. I then upped the numbers to 2001 & 2002.

I changed it back for a reason. Except for this ceremony, I ripped the other winning entries DIRECTLY from the Grammys original, non-AOL, page.

It seems that the dates correspond to the release year. Since this award ceremony carried through Sep 2001, that's how they're dated. In that regard, it makes sense.

This is really the Grammy site's system, not mine.

I remember they also won Best Production for Achtung Baby in 1992. Daniel Lanois accepted the award. I'm not sure if that counts for the band itself though.

Actually, he didn't quite win for AB alone. He won Producer of the Year in 1992, which he shared with Brian Eno.

Technically, even though the REAL work was on AB, the award is really not a U2 award per se. .... Not directly at least.

BTW, the award was actually a TIE. ?!? Lanois/Eno tied with L.A. Reid & Babyface who did the "Boomerang" soundtrack.

sv: I had compiled this list directly from the Grammy site, pre-AOL version. I Still Haven't Found... definitely did not win an award.
http://www.u2faq.com also confirms the number 14.

I Still Haven't Found . . . won Song of the Year at the 1988 Grammies.
