I know this is kinda off topic, but I saw the Strokes last night in Providence, and it was a LOT of fun. Looks like these guys are the real deal.
I got the album from amazon.co.uk (with the original cover art and the song "NYC Cops" which will be replaced upon domestic release), and it's really good. Kind of a pavement/ramones/weezer vibe--the show was packed and the crowd enthusiastic. There was an electricity in the room that I've never felt for a new band.
Looks like they could go all the way...

And as the book says, "we may be through with the past, but the past ain't through with us."

Oasis will suprise many here and everywhere...this new album is gonna give U2 some competition hopefully...my two favourite bands at the top of the world
