major danish news media are reporting that 'the bono of south asia' will be in copenhagen soon.

salman ahmad.

anyone heard of him?

and does south asia need more than one bono?

or maybe bono isnt as big a bono in the muslim world as he is in other parts of the world?

I googled him :shifty: and this is what came up:

"Dr. Salman Ahmad (Urdu: سلمان احمد) is a Pakistani music artist and former actor, who used to be a member of Vital Signs but left after their debut album due to creative differences.

He went on to form Junoon, South Asia's biggest and the most senior rock band. While still enjoying the success of Junoon, Salman Ahmed has been involved in two documentaries with the BBC and is also the Goodwill Ambassador for HIV/AIDS."

Salman,

Just wanted to write you a quick note to say how much we here in the rest of the musical world appreciate what you are doing in your own region for peace. Peace is not an abstract ideal; it’s a concrete thing, brought about by many compromises. Compromise is a word we should cherish. We should embody it, sing it, run it up the flagpoles, chase down the road after it. It’s a psychological state as important as statehood itself. You’re a great man.

Your fan,

Bono
