Please be aware that you are voting on the WHOLE single release, not the individual a-side. In the same way that album survivor involved whole albums with their full complement of tracks competing against each other, singles survivor will involve whole singles with their full complement of tracks competing against each other.

Each round please vote off the single you like the least. The single with the most amount of votes is the the least popular for this round. Voting is anonymous. It's not compulsory to state your preference in the thread.

Next round all the singles are listed again, minus the single that receives the most amount of votes this round. And again please vote for your least favourite single from the selection.

And on we go for many rounds until there's only two singles left. In the last round you vote for your favourite out of the two. The last single standing is the most popular (or the least unpopular depending on how you look at it).

In the event of a tie, both or all tied singles will be instantly eliminated from the competition.

Sorry for another late poll ... it's not good when they end in the afternoon for me. Be warned I will most likely create the next rounds 60-120 minutes early just so I can drag this back to a better schedule.

For now, I'm holding onto my vote. Disappointed 11 O'clock Tick Tock was voted off and even moreso that no-one actually bothered to state why they were voting for it. I'd love to know how 11 O'clock Tick Tock is worse than singles like I Will Follow and Electrical Storm when it has a real b-side and they do not!

I'll be honest - I'm surprised at the way this competition has gone, it's not nearly been how I expected. That, of course, is not a bad thing at all, as the difference of opinion is interesting and stimulates conversation, but I expected the following pattern to occur:

- Elimination of singles with solely tracks already on albums.
THEN
- Elimination of remix singles.
THEN
- Elimination of singles with live b-sides.
THEN
- The clash of the original releases.

I think it was only reasonable to expect that as U2 fans keep demanding original b-sides!

That has happened to an extent at other stages, but seems to have totally disappeared from the competition now, with 11 O'clock Tick Tock and Vertigo receiving the most votes in the last round by a wide margin. And they BOTH have original b-sides!

So do we want original b-sides or don't we?

There is nothing wrong with a good live track. And U2 has plenty of those.
I prefer an good live track above an average new song.

And IMO Sometimes... doesn't even have that, so it's my vote again.

OK folks, I Will Follow leads by 5 over SYCMIOYO, with 57 votes in. We normally only just achieve 60 votes a round and I can't see SYCMIOYO overtaking I Will Follow in the next two hours.
