1. No...Music's subject matter doesn't affect political beliefs, however some of U2's music has brought some political subjects to my attention which I was not fully aware of previously.

2.No...Bono seems genuinely concerned about the causes he supports.

3. B. New Year's Day...though the reason is strictly musical, nothing to do with subject matter.
