Does anyone hear a similiarity?

It may not be lyrically equal, but I think 'Float On' borrows heavily from Sunday Bloody Sunday.

Being a big Modest Mouse fan myself, as well as being very familiar with both songs, I think that you think wrong.

However, I guess the intros are KIND OF similar. But, even that's a little bit of a stretch.

I thought the same thing, there's a guitar part in Float On, that sounds similar to Sunday Bloody Sunday.

And no, no crack pipe was involved.

*It is possible I've been listening to U2 a lot, so maybe that has something to do with it.*

Come on! :crack:

I even listened to the live studio version. It's nothing like SBS. It's in the key of D also, but so is a million other songs.

YES! Even my brother (who's not as big on U2 as he is some other bands) said so (he's the one that actually brought it to my attention!).

There's a shakira song on her last album which is a blatant rip off of sunday bloody sundays intro.
