I think it is time to come with a nickname for U2 fans who follow the band from venue to venue. The Grateful Dead fans were called Deadheads, what are we?

Almost everyone who responded has seen multiple shows. A common thread is that this past tour was the time of their life, they would definitely do it again, and wouldn't change a thing. Also, many people thank friends and family for assisting them in seeing the concerts.

There were 99 different concerts seen by the Interferencers. These shows were mostly in the US but many were from Europe especially Slane. 464 hours of travel time was reported plus 37174 miles of distance travelled. These numbers are low estimates of the insane amount of time given by Interferencers to see U2 this year. The estimates don't include time spent in lineups and many hours in the travel time are plane travel so I have no idea how much actual distance was travelled. I'm now wondering who spent the longest time in the GA line-up? I only spent 12 hours in line once and I'm sure that is nothing compared to many others.

Vegas had the highest attendance of respondents with 22 folks going to SinCity. Providence 1 came second with 18 while Providence 2 had 17. Many dedicated fans saw every show in their city. Ivan Clayton Jnr,Gina Marie, Musical Journeyman, amybatt, and sv saw every Boston show. Fever_NCT and U2NYC420 attend all 5 NYC performances. The 6 concerts in Chicago were witnessed by BlueRoom, the hepcat and Bogeyman.

The longest drives one way were:

1.trevster2k 1700 mi
2.~LadyLemon~ 750 mi
3.Johnny Swallow 700 mi

Longest flights have to go to the Aussies who couldn't wait to be elevated:

1.LuvLady Perth to Vegas
2.Saracene Melbourne to Phoenix
3.bono_man Brisbane to London
4.zooropamanda Sydney to Slane

Most concerts : WOW!
1.Mysterious_Ways 27, new superfan
2.sv 22, a fifth of the tour
3.Fever_NCT 17, must own a ticketmaster outlet in the northeastern US
4.U2NYC420 16, ticketmaster partner with above
5.Miss Zooropa 13, this gal went international big time
6.Hawkfire 12, one for every month of the year

Apologies to anyone who felt left out but I just went with the specific information given on the thread plus hey, I'm not a statistician so there is a huge +/- error of probably 50%

Cheers!

Thanks for responding. I enjoyed reading everyone's experiences and it brought back great memories from the tour.

Hmm...my drive to Providence was 750 miles one way! Guess that puts me as #2 on the longest travel list...

I feel like I deserve an honorable mention, or a day of rest, for attending shows with total driving miles on show day/night of 692 & 676 miles.

Anaheim #2 : Las Vegas-San Diego-Anaheim-Las Vegas (692 miles)

Milwaukee : Minneapolis-Milwaukee-Minneapolis (676 miles)

Diamonddave--I think we circled Providence about 50 times. But it was fun.

Hey Angel!!!

I posted it in the actual survey thread!

Now you can all see why I couldn't afford Vegas or Miami! LOL

Well, since everybody else is piling on...

I also caught all four Boston shows, PLUS both Providence shows. (Total mileage driven = about 1,000 miles. YIKES!)

And I believe bonochick nailed the group moniker: "poor".

I FLEW FROM SHANNON,IRELAND TO BOSTON AND THEN DOWN TO NEW YORK FOR MSG5 ON THE 27 OCTOBER.
ABSOLUTELY BLEW ME AWAY AS IT WAS THE FIRST TIME SEEING U2 OUTSIDE OF IRELAND.
WELL WORTH THE TRIP.

I counted (from the list in the former Vegas thread) at least *50* Interferencers that went to Vegas!!

I know Mrs. Edge travelled at least 7 hours one way from two Canada shows, but don't know how many miles that might be...in the pouring rain, I might add. She gets an "A" for effort in my book!

Bono_Man!!!! How are things downunder!

Congrats on the Longest Distance Traveled Award!
