Yeah, I was wondering about that myself. I thought maybe it was my CD. Glad you heard it too. Now I can stop fretting about it.

I noticed it too, but I thought it was just supposed to sound unpolished.

I seem to remember reading that they laid down this track the last day in the studio.

Must have just taken it "as is."

There's a bunch of noise going on at the end of Vertigo, also, so it may be intentional.

You can here people talking in studio at the end of Fast Cars. I turned up my iPod really loud a few nights and you can definately make out what they're saying. The exact same thing happened at the end of Wake Up Dead Man (Pop). It seems a bit sloppy by the production team... unless of course it's intentional.

Since this is a topic about stupid questions, on Crumbs From Your Table, what are the clicking noises you can hear in the background at the start of the song before the acoustic guitar starts? if you turn the sound up loud you can hear them, it starts at 0:02 and goes on until about 0:11

After hearing this song a couple times it reminds me a bit of Cure's "The Blood"

Background stuff on album tracks is commonplace, especially if you a Beatles fan.
