Starsailor and U2 influences?

Well I just heard the new Starsailor album but one song stands out, Keep Us Together. Is it me or does the background vocal sound a tad bit like The Edge singing?

Bahh its just a great album. I think I am going nuts thinking all bands steal from U2.

Starsailor did cover where the streets have no name and did mention that they were fans of u2.
It indeed sounds a little like an edgebackground melody, though i prefer the edge.
