BD into Desire sounds like a weird transition, I wonder if they'll play the Macphitoesque version of Desire. After all didn't Mr. Macphisto say they'll play something new that sounded vaguely familiar? I wonder what that is.

I dont think that they ever said that they were going to play ONLY one from the list, just that they would only give away that one of the following songs would be played...

It certainly would not disprove the superbowl.com poll. After all, BD is on that list. As well, it may not of been my personal choice off that list, but it was my "realistic" choice.

BD is as much important to these times as One is.

Anyone else remember reading that they were RE-WORKING Beautiful Day, so maybe it will merge into Desire.

The Boston newspapers have covered every angle of SuperBowl week, including this one.
Bono was quoted as saying he'll be singing from "the only place I know how".
Other acts will prerecord(surprisingly including the Boston Pops) because the Superdome is notorious for terrible acoustics.

Desire-hmmmmm
Its a great live song and it really pumps up audiences and keeps a good vibe going, and its short giving them time to play 3 songs. Plus, all week thye have been using desire on the commercial advertising the superbowl on Fox. I really buy into this, at first I was a bit like "oh no, not that song", hoping it will sound better than it does on the 'elevation' dvd or PoPmart.

But I gotta say U2 playing the superbowl is a damn fine thing. People will see why I went to see them 4 times last year!

DAMN I'm PUMPED!
